Jana Zimmer invited to join initiative at the National Endowment for the Arts

Jana Zimmer has been invited to join the National Endowment for the ArtsArtists for Understanding and Connection Initiative. This awareness campaign hopes to use “the power of the arts to combat hate-fueled violence” and “bridge divides, encourage empathy, and create a world where inclusivity and understanding thrive.”

Zimmer’s transformative art unearths her family’s tragic history and speaks to the experiences of Holocaust survivors like her parents, and the second and third generations tasked with carrying on their memories and stories. These voices, and Zimmer in particular as a spokesperson, are essential in dismantling the narratives that propel anti-Semitic hate today.
