DOCOMOMO Hawai’i hosts Alfred Preis anniversary talk

Docomomo Hawai’i and AIA Honolulu are co-hosting a presentation by architect and author of Alfred Preis Displaced, Professor Axel Schmitzberger, at the Center for Architecture in Honolulu. This sold out event will revisit the dual legacy of Alfred Preis, the Jewish born Viennese architect who designed majority of his work after fleeing to Hawaii. Taking place on the 30th anniversary of his passing, this talk aims to celebrate Preis’s astonishing career as an architect and cultural advocate.
