Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar is a writer and bestselling author. His debut novel,  The Mysterious Ailment of Rupi Baskey, for which he received the 2015 Muse India Young Writer Award, was shortlisted for the Crossword Book Award and the Hindu Literary Prize, and longlisted for the 2016 International Dublin Literary Award.
