Until mid-August Liat Yossifor’s work is on exhibition at Páramo Gallery in Guadalajara, Mexico. Read about Yossifor’s new monochrome works here: http://paramogaleria.com/?exposicion=the-stand&lang=en
The gallery is named for the character of the magical realist book Pedro Páramo by Mexican writer Juan Rulfo, a must-read. They describe the book, echoing what we also love about Yossifor’s work: “… Anchored in solid ground, the novel is triggered in multiple directions breaking time, confusing reality and hallucination, melting lyricism with violence and choppy conversations.”
